It all depends on certain aspects of your case. You can use the timeframes below as a rough guide as to how long your matter may take:
- If your matter is to settle before any hearing takes place and during conciliation it may take between 1 to 3 months.
- If your matter is to proceed to a final Tribunal hearing your case could take up to at least 12 months depending on the listings available for the relevant Tribunal. As at the date of publishing these Rules, Claims are taking significantly longer to be heard (with preliminary hearings listed around 1 year following the lodgement of a Claim and final hearings listed a year after that).
Timescales specific to your matter will be provided during the course of your retainer.
